I loved that they tried something different, but this film was boring and 90% of the story was just filler. But the lows were incredibly low: Super-Leia, some purple haired bitch nobody cares about sacrificing herself in what should have been Leia's going out scene, everything and anything have to do with Finn and Asian Jar Jar Binks' side-story. The slow speed car chase that made no sense? The bombers that made no sense? Some of the cringiest lines and moments, the utter deflating of serious tense moments with misplaced humor, the utter lack of respect for Luke's character and Carrie Fisher basically being a useless comatose robot who repeats shit about hope every 30 minutes? It was like the Phantom Menace.

Some of the scenes were on point and exactly what we should have gotten, and some of the scenes were Jar Jar Binks level stupidity. And don't get me started on the 1%er PITA political message that had no place in the film and was completely irrelevant to the rest of the message the story was carrying. The pacing was utterly ridiculous, the way they got characters from point A-B were completely contrived, and the plot holes were utterly glaring.
