OK, here is your problem. I can tell that you installed a video card with an HDMI port because you wrote that you only have a nVidia HD audio device listed there. The nvidia HD audio controls the audio out of the HDMI port on the video card. Here's what happened, and here's what you need to do to correct the problem. When you installed the nvidia video card with HDMI, the PC not only disabled the onboard video, it also disabled the onboard audio thinking that you also installed an audio card. So, to get the onboard audio working again, restart the PC, tap the F10 key to get into the BIOS setup menu.
Go over to the advanced settings tab> device options menu. Find the onboard audio setting. It will be set to disabled.
